Mae Casey
Mae Casey attended the University of Arizona and earned two Bachelors of Arts; one in English Education and the other in Spanish and Portuguese.
She has eleven years of teaching experience, is deeply committed to her profession and works hard to ensure that all students are included in classroom instruction and activities so that nobody is left out. In her current role as a Credit Recovery Teacher at Santa Rita High School, she is dedicated to working closely with her students in order for them to meet graduation requirements.
Ms. Casey’s past experiences included many leadership roles such as serving as an Instructional Team Leader, which included mediating between department members and being a model of strong instruction. She also led the English Department in the development and implementation of a school wide Literacy Initiative. Her participation in Co-Curricular and extracurricular activities have included: 21st Century Community Learning Center, Extended Eagle Academy Program, AIMS Blitz & Saturday School and a swim coach. Through her experience and dedication, she works tirelessly to engage her students to make sure that they are successful in their individual learning. Currently, her students are showing above average success in career and post- secondary achievement.
